I built a business card order form in flash and then started to add the moving boxes up and down as data was entered or removed.
you could see your card being built as you filled out the form.
(the moving boxes didn't make it but the "live build" did)
When the card was submitted is was sent to a db and an e-mail to to hr and then they could e-mail the request to our printer.
when that happened and e-mail was sent to the person who requested the card stating there order has been placed with the printer. when the card arrived hr would go the the card admin page click a check box to mark they had arrived and that also fired an email to the person who requested the card that the cards have arrived.
that took longer to write then the actual process

It seems to me that you should be able to accomplish all of this using the
new CFDOCUMENT tag in CFMX 7. Outside of that I don't know of any
particular tag or application that does exactly what you are looking for.

Subject: PDF Generator
I am looking for a CF PDF generator to create Proof
copies of business cards. I need something that will
support users entering information such as name,
title, phone, and address on a web form, then having
that information printed over a blank image of the
business card in such a way that if they user left a
field blank, the rest of the information would move up
on the card and not leave a space where the
information would normally be. for instance, if the
user left address2 blank, then city state would move
up to that line instead of leaving a blank line on the
pdf proof. I also need for the pdf to be printed and
saved with the dynamic data intact. I have a solution
now that uses fdf, but i cant save with the dynamic
text and i need to specify text location so its not
the best solution.
thanks everyone!!
