even the sup par windows xp asks if you want to resize when you e-mail a pic. it gives you choices.

As an aside, the Mail application in the new Mac OS that just came out
last week can automatically resize images at various size and
compression levels on the fly when you're sending images via email.
Very cool stuff.  (Sorry, gotta talk up the Mac every chance I get!)
