I have an old (yes, very old) CF server, 4.5 running on NT. Sad, I
know, but we're about to retire it.
However, today its maxed out at 100% CPU, (I know of the other issues
with 5 and 6 running 100% CPU, but I didnt' think this affected 4.5).
I can stop the service, and everything returns to normal, but as soon
as its popped on, boom, 100% CPU and barely a tread for any other
service to pretend to be running (like FTP). HTTP is still serving.
I have stopped each (the few) iis website instances and started CF to
see if it was a particular site, but nothing different. SQL 7 climbs
up to 250Meg usage until the machine becomes unusable.
Anyone have any ideas before I chuck this server out the window in
frustration?
