The next meeting of the DFW CFUG will be Tuesday, as in TOMORROW, and
it's going to be a great one! Come learn about the Mach-II framework
and the Eclipse IDE tomorrow, September 13, 2005, 6:30 p.m., at
TEKsystems in Dallas.

We'll start the meeting with my Fusebox and Frameworks 2005 conference
presentation entitled "Head First Mach-II." It involves hats and a
beach ball (seriously) so you won't want to miss it. From the Fusebox
and Frameworks 2005 conference web site:

Are you new to Mach-II, or have you tried to use Mach-II before but
needed more guidance to get started? If so, this session is for you!
"Head First Mach-II" will give those with little to no Mach-II
experience the foundation they need to better understand the concepts
behind the framework and start building Mach-II applications. All
questions will be answered and all Mach-II truths revealed in this
fun, interactive session about the powerful and popular Mach-II
framework.

And the fun doesn't stop there--next, Mike Kelp (self-proclaimed
"Eclipse Nerd") will lead what we hope will be an interactive
discussion of Eclipse, CFEclipse, and all the fantastic tools that run
on the Eclipse platform. Here's the skinny on Mike and his
presentation:

I am a CSCI major from UNT, just graduated last semester. I have
worked with Coldfusion for around 3 years now at Medworking.com (with
CF Survivor Daniel hehe) and done various contract work with the
language as well. I have lately become very interested in the FLIP
process and development work flow which brought me to Eclipse.

Discussion Topics:
- Understanding the Eclipse project's goals of making a free
ubiquitous platform for development that users may extend for free or
for profit.

- Getting and installing Eclipse with a how to on plugins

- Using basic features of Eclipse available to all development perspectives

- CFEclipse

- Working in teams or a "don't break that source" environment via CVS
and FTP synchronization. (Connecting to a CVS / FTP server and
committing changes)

This meeting is chock full o' goodness so be there and bring several friends!

SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!
