I have a site that sends a weekly email to about 20,000 confirmed subscribers. We've been using Topica (http://www.topica.com/) to send our emails, but are increasingly having problems with our emails not getting through. It looks like Topica is starting to show up on some spam block lists, and our mailings are suffering as a result.

We're considering sending our newsletter out ourselves using ActivMailMan and XM Server:

http://www.activsoftware.com/

Does anybody have any experience with either of these products? The feature list looks good. It has a few features designed to improve deliverability (I don't know to what degree they succeed but it's encouraging to see it at least makes an effort), handles bounced emails, and should provide more than enough email throughput performance for our needs.

Any other suggestions or alternatives?

Thanks,
Conan
