Van Helsing, kalau saran saya daripada beli Ibanez GIO (misalkan Anda memang rencana mau beli gitar), bagus beli Epiphone saja. Yang buatan Cina antara 2 - 2.5 juta, material mahogani/ alder, flame top (dilapis veneer maple). Pickup cukup punya gain dan warm; buat musik all-around cukup memadai. Di stiker nya tertulis ini pickup dibuat dengan standar Gibson PAF, Alnico magnet. Buat saya sudah memenuhi syarat karena kebetulan bukan orang yang rewel dalam tone.
Kalau mau lebih rock, beli Squier Showmaster saja. Ini walau buatan Cileungsi tapi cukup rapi pembuatannya. Harga seimbang lah sama Epiphone. Yang Jason Ellis model pickup nya Duncan Designed.
Pilihan ketiga beli Marlique aja. Dengan tidak sampai 3 juta sudah dapat Signature item.
