Hah it can get even weirder. Not every (formally married) wife of every King is made a Queen. While it has been true for European monarchies up to now, when Prince Charles become King, his wife will be the first royal consort of a European King without the title Queen. And the wife of the King of Morocco is by tradition without any formal title. Princess Lalla Salma, wife of King Mohammed VI, is the first ever Moroccan royal consort given a royal title, but only a Princess, not a Queen.
