William and all, I changed the subject of this thread as it has wandered of it's original thread. William is correct here amazingly! It is indeed the trademark law that has not caught up with the blazing speed which the internet has grown. The Lanham Act (US only) is the basis for all Trademark law in the US. It is far behind the technology development. This was covered just tonight on CNN for instance. What is also interesting is that we seem to be recycling the same arguments again that we covered before on the old IAHC-Discuss and gTLD-MoU-discuss lists. Hasn't any of these trademark people done their homework? If so, the need to do a considerable review... William X.
