A colleague and I were discussing this issue recently, and some interesting questions arose. During the trial period for the testbed registrars: 1) Will all domain name registrations under .com, .net, and .org only be handled through the 5 registrars, plus NSI? 2) If the answer to 1) is yes, in what capacity will NSI be participating as a registrar? As WorldNIC, as InterNIC, or both? 3) What happens to "InterNIC" handled registrations once competition is in full effect?
