I take what he says seriously and I'll endeavour to answer . My angry taking down the name of Kevin Connolly from my website has given many the opportunity for sniping at IDNO's lack of democracy. A body-in-formation with only one organizer is an easy target. I have admitted in the quote above that there *was* no functioning democracy in IDNO yet and that I take sole responsibility for what has occurred. John is right. It is a fundamental problem, but it can be resolved by distinguishing *building* a democracy from *being* a democracy. I did not regard this part of Mr Connolly's post to the dnso.org > Their ostracism . . . brought on for decision by means which are > patently extrademocratic . . . largely sounds the deathknell of our > legitimacy. That is, what little of it is left in light of the > identification of this organization with Iperdome and NSI. as mere dissent. With this Mr Conolly really departs from the building of this organization, embarks on its destruction and prepares for the building of something else. If I was wrong in this regard, I apologize again. I have invited Mr Connolly to clarify his position, and I think he has done this. --Joop Teernstra LL.M.-- , bootstrap of the Cyberspace Association, the constituency for Individual Domain Name Owners http://www.idno.org
