News from the INET panel (and elsewhere)

#1.  Root Server L has been transferred to ICANN and will now be the
authoritative root (replacing A in that capacity).

#2. The Testbed period has been extended ny three weeks to July 16.  I
presume the reason for this (not given to us) is both technical and
political.  To hold a true test of the SRS and, IMHO, to give NSI
breathing room in its negotiations about whether to become an accredited
registrar.
