Speaking of Postel - there's a professional joker - if ever I saw one. He
certainly could be the butt of many jokes - and in death, the humour could
be well tainted.
However, one thing I found very discusting in all this Icann Postel
business at the last ICann meeting - was the was postels family were
buffed up and presented as sacred cows. I believe one could sum up by
saying "Were not Jon Postel, but look his family came to visit - so we
must be OK". Very lame.
The november 1999 meeting of ICann marks the death of Icann and the
continued mourning of postel. Icann must learn that while one can't raise
the dead, one can have fun at their expense. God bless Jon Postel and
anyone who would sail on his earth bound ships.
