They're revoking a group of domain names citing a dumbass reason that
only applies to a few of them. They say it's to clamp down on cybersquatting
because these names are passing off on trademarks. None of my domains
in this batch are passing off on anybody else's trademark and yet,
that's the reason that's going to be cited when they yank my domain names.

Based on the logic cited in this article I now expect microsoftnet.com,
yahoonet.com and amazonnet.com and all other domain names that are
"nearly identical to already established web sites" to be arbitrarily
revoked.

I had a feeling they would be pulled and I suspected the reason cited
would be an ignorant insult to my intelligence and I was right.

The simple fact is the registry FUCKED UP and so did the registrars.
If they came out and said, "these domains were registered as the result
of a mistake on our end, which i now fixed, and we're pulling these names"
I would have less of a problem with it, than now, where I'm being tacitly
accused of being a cybersquatter just because I hold a few of these domain
names.

Not impressed one bit.
