You must be busy watching motivational videos "Diversity in business
models"?  Nice buzzwords but it helps to understand what it means and
apply it correctly in the argument.

In this case competition already exists in the domain registries.  In fact
I would term such competition - competitive cannabalism.  So I agree that
the sooner we get additional tld's online the better.  But new tld's will
not make competition efficient.  That attempt has been the goal and the
results are a screwed up domain industry with lot's of SRS problems.

The introduction of new tld's will however result in more cannabalism
between competitors - prices will drop like telephone company long
distance rates - and the tld slipper slope will be introduced.  Once the
world knows diversity is an option, the pressure will rise on ICANN to
perform and deliver.
