I've been getting a few private messages concerning candidates - some of
which are being published here with my replies. Any originating marks
will be deleted except for communications with candidates - which are
public record.

That's a hard question to answer. The Asia/Pacific region is controlled
by YJ, and Adam Peake. Most of the validated members from there are
associated with APNIC which is associated with YJ and Adam. The purpose
there is control of the voting block and eventually getting their pet
project i-dns accepted by ICANN.

In all cases - I have been unable to find anyone in the candidadtes list
for Asia Pacific who I remember even having a vague interest in domain
policy or politics. They all look like drop in candidates (we call it
parachuting) to me. My only suggestion is read through the profiles and
reject anyone who has an association with the following - IETF, ISOC,
APNIC. I know that's not much help and appologize to you for that.

Joe Baptista
