Sort of. Its lineage is via NeXT, which includes NeXT STEP and some other non-unix stuff.
It has a MACH kernel, among other things. So, lots of stuff will port easily, but not all. the people I talk to love it, and say "It is REAL UNIX" which I believe, but I do not have much info on what ports and what does not.
