Main detracting factor for me with Cyrus, but I believe also a reason
for its speed, is it's unique mail spool file system layout and storage.
It is similar to maildir, but different. I preferred to stick to
something a bit more universal. Not that maildir is a standard or
anything and has it's own critiques.

There was very little if any modifications to emails on the server and
stuff to switch from Courier to Dovecot. There is a migration wiki
page[1], and I did use the courier-dovecot-migrate.pl[2] for migration.
But it was minimal, and pretty sure migrating to or from Cyrus would be
more intensive.

The other I looked at long ago as Binc IMAP[3], but it was only IMAP and
no POP, I believe not 100%. But Binc seemed to be IMAP only.
