A few months back I came across a JaxLUG business card I acquired over
the years. Seems this was something that existed before and was mainly
used as a hand out, promo, marketing material, etc. Providing
information on how to join the mailing list and a P.O. Box that no
longer exists.

I uploaded a copy of the old JaxLUG business card to the wiki.

At our last meeting the topic/presentation was more of an active ongoing
discussion. Which touched on how to introduce more people to Linux, how
to get Linux more mainstream, etc. Yes Linux is all over the place, but
mostly out of sight, out of mind. This was more about getting awareness
for use as the primary desktop operating system. Not so much server
awareness, embedded, mobile devices, etc.

Anyway I asked Chris Lee if he could tap his resources and get Lee
Printing to print and donate/sponsor business cards for the JaxLUG.
Providing we will put them to use, and others feel this is of use. The
cards would be updated a bit, new mailing list subscription info, no
P.O. Box as we do not have one. Otherwise rest will basically be the
same.

Sure a miniature LiveCD's that people put in their machines, boot up
with the JaxLUG logo, link to Wiki, link to mailing list, etc would be
allot better. But this is at least a start. Also at this time business
cards are easier to recycle and more eco friendly than cdroms. ;)

Do we want business cards for the LUG to hand out to others? Please
comment and discuss thanks!
