Well, I've been fiddling with this, tossing in and out Amazon Instances no less (thanks Kyle!). It's an F12+ issue. F11- works fine. So something was changed after F11. I've looked at logs until my eyes were crossed. There's nothing there that I can tell that is helpful in isolating where the hangup is.
Unfortunately I can't spend any more time on this. I'm satisfied with F11 for now, since it has the base glib that is required to run a proprietary mail server application (AfterLogic MailSuite). -----Original Message----- From: Mike Rathburn [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 12:13 AM To: 'Jax-LUG' Subject: SFTP on Fedora 12 I've upgraded from F10 to F12. Now for some reason can't seem to make SFTP connections to the machine as a non-root user. SFTP worked fine in F10 before the upgrade. Made no changes in sshd_config (nor did the upgrade that I can tell). Anyone else experienced this and have a quick fix or explanation between the differences of F10 and F12 and SFTP? Closest I could find that is close to my problem is here: http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/users/2010-March/369736.html However, placing the non-interactive shell check in my user's .bashrc didn't do the trick for me. Again, if I enable root login for SFTP, all is well connecting. Only normal users cannot connect. Connecting via ssh is not a problem either for non-root users. Using openssh. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive http://marc.info/?l=jaxlug-list&r=1&w=2 RSS Feed http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.xml Unsubscribe [email protected]
