Good evening, I was wondering if anyone can give me some info related to asterisk cdr logs. I am trying to determine why some calls are showing a SIP/xxxx where xxxx=extension and other entries show localx...@from . I did notice the entry with Local are all outbound calls, but the SIP entry has outbound calls listed as well.
I did google it, but just have not seen any sites that do a really good job of explaining the entries. Ideally, i would like to get a better understanding of the entries, so i can create some scripts to run periodically to report things such as a list of caller IDs for unanswered calls. I did see the various reporting apps out there, but just didnt see a fit for the results i need returned. I welcome any information on the subject. If i get to the point where i need to be, ill share the scripts. Thank you for your time.
