Apologies to William for getting these twice, my list subscription seems to be borked.
Yahoo and Bing search are available in the Android market. Verizon includes Bing as the default on some of their phones. You can get paypal in the market too, and Google does not prevent apps from using Paypal for in-app payments or any other payments, for that matter. There are dozens of custom firmwares based on Googles Android code, so the "CentOS" of Android does exist, many times over.
