Per our recent discussions on other thread. I ended up on the following
wikipedia page. To my surprise they include a screenshot of emacs in the
history section. Just rather funny and coincidental to the discussion in
the other thread ;)

The caption below the image says it quite well

"GNU Emacs, an extensible editor that is commonly used as an IDE on
Unix-like systems"

I am sure VI/VIM people would swap out Emacs in that statement :)
