Sadly the JaxLUG nor my own company will be participating in the event.
I came across it to late to be able to do anything about it. I have
taken the opposite temporary approach to IPv6. Which is to avoid
migration and make sure its not available in any software in use, built
and compiled without support for IPv6.

However that is just a temporary approach till a phase migration to IPv6
can begin. Migrating internals, and then once thats solidified migrating
external facing routers, and the rest.

There will be another IPv6 presentation for the JaxLUG sometime this
year. Possibly this month, but more than likely in September. Though
really should have done it last month given World IPv6 Day this month.

Anyway just wanted to pass the information along. You might still be
able to participate as an individual. Unless you work for an
organization that is already taking part. Sooner than later IPv6 will be
inevitable, and cannot be avoided forever, at least on some level or
another.
