Thanks for the suggestions.

For what it's worth, I do like Authorize.net in as much as they have
provided excellent uptime (only one outage in the entire time we've used
them, and that was when they had that fire in their data center while
their backup data center was offline for maintenance - a perfect storm).
I've had the API in place for about 6 years now and it Just Works.

However, we have recently started to experience a significant number of
fraudulant transactions resulting in chargebacks. While researching these
I came to the stunning conclusion that Authorize.net was not checking the
cardholder name. A chat with their support staff confirmed it. That
annoyed the crap outta me, as a sizable majority of the fraudulant
transactions would have been prevented had the cardholder name been
checked, as the name used was often incorrect.

As you can imagine, it also seriously upset our bean counters, to the
point that some of them want to kill some of our online product lines.

So, I'm looking for a gateway that takes security more seriously than
zipcode and street number...

I'll speak with The Powers That Be and see if we would be able to do it
directly through our bank and cut out the middleman. If that doesn't work
then I'll look at some of the other offerings suggested here.

Thanks again to all who replied.

Regards,
Ozz.
