For future reference 'lsb_release -a' is a standard (Linux Standard Base)
command that will determine the vendor & version of any linux build that adheres
to LSB standards. If it supports by EPEL, then it will likely allow enabling
other yum repositories & all rpms to be installed. It will complain if
dependencies are not matched. -GLHF Art

There's no /etc/redhat-release file, but a /etc/system-release, and it just
has Amazon Linux AMI release 2011.02.1.1 (beta).
I'm losing interest anyways, since I was going to install AstriFax (fax
gateway for Asterisk), but they're now no-longer open source, and enormously
expensive (upwards of $300 per DID!).
