I'm seeing a lot of spectacular advice from Luggers. My two cents... You can't go wrong choosing CS as a discipline. It applies to many sectors (if not eventually all) of the job market. It is also, and will consistently continue to be, one of the most in-demand fields out there.
As for which school to choose, there's Stanford, Duke, MIT, Ivy League, then there's everyone else. If none of the aforementioned, then go with the cheapest. Don't strap yourself with enormous student loan debt that will take you a lifetime to pay off. You're literally, in many ways, -buying- a college degree. Be frugal just as you would when buying a taco or a car. From what I see, UNF would be the best route as far as quality and costs are concerned. Finally, may not be on your radar (no pun intended), but don't completely disregard the military as an option, particularly the Navy and Air Force and their respective academies. You get a high quality education with real-world experience, great respect, and little to no long-term financial burden. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive http://marc.info/?l=jaxlug-list&r=1&w=2 RSS Feed http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.xml Unsubscribe [email protected]
