You should just have to delete the eclipse install folder itself...no registry keys.

What may be happening is it is trying to load your workspace settings. If you want to start totally fresh, delete your workspace folder so it can be created or simply delete the .metadata folder from inside your workspace directory.

The .metadata folder is where Eclipse stores workspace specific settings.

Me again,

How does one totally get rid of eclipse from his/her machine?

I have done the following:

1. deleted the eclipse folder

2. regedit and searched for eclipse

This seems not good enough…because here at work I have eclipse version 3.2 with RDS working and version 3.3 not working, but the other way around at home.

I have now installed CFEclipse differently 3 times and each missing certain functionalities.

I want to basically start fresh without having to rebuild my machine. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Subject: [DFW CFUG] CFEclipse Properties

Good morning All,

I have downloaded eclipse and have installed the CFEclipse plugin. I have a mapped drive to our development server and have chosen from it the wwwroot as my workspace.

In CFEclipse perspective the navigator window was blank. To view the existing projects in my wwwroot workspace all I had to do was recreate those projects. I opened a template and wanted to view it in external browser and received the error: “The URL for your project has not been defined, edit the CFEclipse properties for this project and enter the URL for this file.”

So I go into the CFEclipse Properties and I don’t see the URL box where I enter the url. The attached jpg is what I see. What am I doing wrong?

Also, I would like to install the RDS and Flex plugins

I went to http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/downloads.html#cfdevtools and downloaded what Mike has suggested me to download, but it’s not obvious to me how to install them. Hate to start dragging and dropping files into places they might not belong. Can anyone tell how to install these plugins…I would really appreciate it.

Thanks a million,

Ron Mast
