For what its worth, I loved working with CrystalTech.

I have hosted over 10 sites with them of varying sizes. They have the best web admin of all the hosts I've used and I have never waited longer than 3 rings for an answer to support calls at any time of day. They're prices are definitely not the cheapest of all the hosts, but I found them very much worth it. Also, their servers are in Arizona, so you have to consider that in your apps (ie: if client is in texas you need to adjust for the timezone).

I should note that all of these sites were on shared hosting plans, not dedicated servers.
