If:

    is the current directory, and:
        %..
    is the parent directory, and:
        %
    is invalid, then what does:
        %""
    mean?

** Where: (line 1) t: %
>> t: %""
== %

Perhaps it is better that:

%""

be an invalid file, like:

%

is.

Alternatively, %"" and % could be the name of the one file with zero
characters in it's name.
