I would assume they're unset in that stage (even if perhaps
setting them to NONE could make more sense for an object, like it
is for function contexts).

I had noticed something like an END! word in SYSTEM/WORDS, and
wondered what it was. So it is a datatype used internally with a
meaning similar to UNSET! ?
