Are you kidding me? It's like I hadn't said a word. Your code is wrong. Firefox is correct and Opera is disobeying standards. This mailing list clearly needs to enable the blink tag... <blink>In your case I think it's your SVG file at fault</blink>

It's text in the page... it'll take up as much space as it needs to display, and this may mean displaying scrollbars. You cannot expect to control that while it's in the HTML. However, if you want the text to scale with an SVG sized the same as the screen, then put the text _in_ the SVG.
