I totally agree.
I forgot about pop-up blockers. I thought it was not that black and white but this thing may be annoying. DonĀ“t know how many uses these blockers, and of course it is easy to disconnect them, but anyhow, rather than doing it more efficciently it is a slower way of presenting information. People who decide on Web Standards can make mistakes. That's why standards change all the time. A few years ago it was standard to have all links to other websites open in new windows. Now it moves against this behaviour. There is room for discussion, don't you think?
