APEX is currently seeking persons with web site management skills who
would accept nominations for the position of Director of Web
Development. Please see further information on this position below.

Prerequisite:
The Director of Web Development would preferably be a current APEX
Member or a person who would become a Member of APEX prior to the
election being held for the position.

Term of Office:
The Director of Web Development serves for a term of two years which
shall be calculated from the first day of the month that he or she
assumes office.

Selection:
The Director of Web Development is nominated by the Members of the
Boardof Directors and elected by a simple majority of votes cast by the
Membership.

Duties:
The Director of Web Development reports to the Director of Operations
and is in charge of and has full authority regarding design and
maintenance of the APEX web site. The Director of Web Development, with
the assistance of the Director of Operations and Director of
Memberships, maintains an updated listing of the Membership on the APEX
web site.
The Director of Web Development may form committees or assign
volunteersas needed to assist in his or her duties.

Further duties information:
( a ) Skill level required: Proficient skills in the areas of XHTML 1.0
Strict and CSS Validation plus Level AAA Conformance W3C-WAI.
( b ) Time input required: The web site has less than 30 pages with
pages requiring constant updating being the Members page ( Member
changes, date of updating plus a once weekly Link Check ) and the
Structure and Staff page ( whenever individual Board of Directors
Elections are completed. )
( c ) Assistance: This will be available as and when required.
( d ) Site access management: Available through FTP and / or through an
online Domain Control Panel.

Voting Rights:
The Director of Web Development's vote counts as one vote within the
Board of Directors.
