I have received large amounts of email.
It appears that people don't like to have their
accepted behavious criticized.
Brit Millah would be a barbaric rite if the Torah had
not commanded us to perform it.
Where is the commandment to pierce a childs ear?
That it is accepted practice in the civilized world is
hardly a criteria.
Would you poke a needle through a childs hand?
NOTE: I forbade my daughter to pierce her ears. She
did it on her own when she reached majority.
