The answer is actually very simple - there's no right or wrong, just it
depends on whether you are a Litvak or a Galicianer. Do you say "Flayshig"
or "Fleishig"? Of course, you could get a mitzvah and speak Hebrew and say
B'sari.
Ever hear people say in Musaf's Kedusha "Hee Elokaynee"? Same thing. Those
Hungarians were the first who invented the feminist siddur.
Which reminds me of the late John Cardinal O'Connor's comment when some
Catholic feminists tried that. He denounced them, saying, "God is obviously
and clearly a man." So much for anthropomorphism.
