i will follow up with them , thanks for the tip

But if I already have an IP address assigned by AP1, i shouldn't need a new IP
when moving around the floor.

When I used to work with Aerohive AP's I would have the same address no matter
what AP i would get bounced to, I would think Meraki's should work the same
fashion, shouldn't it?

Is the dhcp lease time sufficently short so its not an issue of ip assignment
exhaustion? This seems to me.it could.be the issue and I would.check.with
whomever owns.the dhcp server to.see.

Hi all,

I went out to do a wifi survey to a center today and the issues were the
following, on certain parts of the floor i would not get an IP address from
the AP, despite having full connection to the AP.

I switched to g and n and always got full stregnth (54mbps/300mbps) & the
signal meter confirmed this , unfortunatley as it is a managed center I do not
have any access to the DHCP server (clavister firewall), so i was wondering if
anyone had any thoughts.

thanks
