Yeah, we have over 150 servers (mostly VMs, these days).  I don't want
to create static DNS records, that is just something else to remember
to delete, when the server gets retired or renamed ... especially when
the servers should quite easily just register themselves in DNS, as
they always have done, up until this point.

Yeah, it's baffling, I come in this morning, and there are like 2
dozen or more servers I have to register in DNS again, for some
reason.
