Hi Marie,

I've yet to use PatchMyPC, but the first things that come to mind are to do
with how the programs are packaged.

Are they completely silent?
Are things like updates stipped out? - Java comes to mind here
Automatic startup stopped? - Skype for instance

Subject: [mssms] RE: Update Catalog for SCUP

If you are interested in our SCUP catalog, here's a more little high level info
below:

The current list of applications (500 + unique updates, 50 + unique
applications) supported in our catalog full list can be founmd here:
https://patchmypc.net/supported-products-scup-catalog

Like Mike Linkey said in the thread that split, we are always open to adding
new applications for our customers. In fact, most applications requested by our
customers have been added to our SCUP catalog:
https://patchmypc.net/forum/index.php?board=19.0

As far to release cadence, we typically are able to fully test and release
updates the same day the vendor releases the update (Even non-security
updates). Security specific updates are almost always released the same day the
vender releases the update. A full list of our catalog update history can be
found here: https://patchmypc.net/feed

Cost is 1 USD$ per managed client on an annual basis. For around 19,000
devices, it would be around $ 19,000 annually to subscribe to our catalog.

By far patchmypc is the cheapest and provides the same quality product as the
guys that cost 10x as much.

Subject: [mssms] Update Catalog for SCUP

Hey all,

I'm looking for recommendations for an update catalog provider for SCUP/SCCM.
I have about 19,000 active clients and I'm tired of patching 3rd party apps via
full app deployments. I'd love to hear about any experience or suggestions any
of you have.

Kenneth Merenda
