If you look up the VM under Devices in SCCM, there's a tab at the bottom, "Client Settings". This should show you which policy it's using. As for the rest sorry, I've never run across this problem.
From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Wouden Sent: Friday, August 21, 2015 9:38 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [mssms] Software Updates hangs during Build and Capture SCCM 2012 SP1 wit MDT 2013 integration. For the past 3 weeks I trying to inject Software updates during a B&C I've read lot's of articles about the subject, and step by step I could fine tune my TS. I hopefully have one last issue (wishfull thinking) [cid:[email protected]] I've run this TS several times, and every time it hangs for a few hours on installing the last update. I have about 190 updates to install. In the beginning the TS hangs, timeout and breaks the TS, and end up in de windows logon screen. I've restructure the TS so that not all the updates re installed at once. Now it hangs and after, i think 2 hours it proceeds with the next software update cycle I've gone through most of the logfiles, WUAHandler.log, ScanAgent.log, UpdatesHandler.log, LocationServices.log, smsts.log etc. Today I sorted the client logfiles by Date Modified to see which logs are modified I never thought of looking at the pwrmgmt.log or the CIAgent.log. But both logfiles are processing entries every second. Few entries per second, for almost an hour [cid:[email protected]] [cid:[email protected]] I searched the net looking for an answer but didn't found one yet. Pwrmgmt.log Records information about enabling or disabling and configuring the wake-up proxy client settings. I haven't configured any power settings for this VM. It's an imported computer in a B&C collection, with only software updates deployed to that collection. Oohh damn.. As i'm typing this, it hits me. Does the VM gets the default client settings? Power management settings are enabled in the default client settings.. If that is the case, what is the "extended by SoftwareUpdateManager for 120 minutes" message? I mean where exactly are the 120 minutes configured.
