I was handed a surface book today to get prepped for OSD. I downloaded the driver package from Microsoft:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49497 It doesn't seem fully baked just yet. The description talks about a .zip archive that contains all of the drivers, but only an MSI is provided. If you install the MSI on a surface book then all of the drivers and firmware will extracted to C:\Program Files (x86)\SurfacePlatformInstaller\SurfaceBook_Win10_151027_0. I tried to extract the drivers on my Surface Pro 3 and learned you can only run the MSI on a Surface Book. I copied all the drivers up to my content share and created a driver package. It would seem that the Ethernet drivers are the same for the new dock as they were for the Surface Pro 3 so I did not have to update my boot images. I learned afterwards that the driver package from Microsoft did not include the NVidia GPU drivers... those also did not come down with Windows Update and do not appear anywhere on the Microsoft site. You cannot use drivers directly from NVidia so I'm pretty much stuck without the GPU at this point. I have noticed some odd bugs with this device. Detaching the screen causes some weirdness with the keyboard once reattached. I also noticed that if you have the device docked and you detach/reattach the screen that it will not resume charging. You have to reseat the surface connector from the dock to get it to start charging again. Overall the engineering of the thing is beautiful. Hopefully the bugs get worked out in the future. Dewayne
