I've seen in the past where a domain join would occur against a particular remote DC but then replication does not occur or is slow and it causes issues with the computer account. That was in an environment where subnets were not very well maintained so AD site location had issues.
Just my experience... It seems like the computer actually joins the domain but then somehow the computer account "disappears" from AD. It's only happening in one location though and oddly enough, only seems to happen on laptops. ________________________________ John Marcum MCITP, MCTS, MCSA Desktop Architect Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP ________________________________ [H_Logo] From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Schwan, Phil Sent: Wednesday, December 9, 2015 7:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] RE: Domain Joins Fail I don't see anything wrong...all indications here are that it successfully joins the domain, so my suspicion would turn towards the AD side. -Phil From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Marcum, John Sent: Wednesday, December 9, 2015 11:29 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: [MDT-OSD] Domain Joins Fail All of a sudden I am seeing issues in OSD where no computer account is present in the domain and I obviously can't log in to the domain either. The netsetup.log is attached here. I see nothing wrong with it. Any ideas? ________________________________ John Marcum MCITP, MCTS, MCSA Desktop Architect Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP ________________________________ [H_Logo] ________________________________ Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail is from a law firm and may be protected by the attorney-client or work product privileges.
