Update: I was wrong, the Name item is the correct one, I didn’t know that
Intel started with this naming convention as recently as it did.

Thank you again, folks.

Thank you Mike, it’s true for some you can. I have pulled samples from our
footprint and even some newer devices with Intel CPUs don’t have the Name
populated to consistently include the “I” artifact.

So, Name is the right place.

Well, maybe you can…

PS C:\Users\mmarable\Documents> Get-WmiObject Win32_Processor

Caption : Intel64 Family 6 Model 69 Stepping 1
DeviceID : CPU0
Manufacturer : GenuineIntel
MaxClockSpeed : 2501
Name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4300U CPU @ 1.90GHz
SocketDesignation : U3E1

You would have to parse it out of the name. Granted I haven’t tried this
against a bunch of machines to see if the name value holds true or not but it
could be worth a try.

Mike

Not by that name, no.

My research indicates there is no way to inventory this via WMI since it’s a
marketing term and not an actual thing.

You agree?

Thanks,
