However, when I try to run the small file to upgrade to R2 SP1, I keep getting an error saying I need local Administrator permissions to run this. The account that I’m using is a member of Domain Admins, which is in the local Administrators group, and I manually added my adm account, which then makes it a local Administrator, and yet, I still get the same message. The server has been rebooted a few times, just to make sure there isn’t any cruft left, as well. Any ideas? R2 is not free and only those with software assurance or that purchased 2012 as R2 are entitled to it.
