Run the Splash.HTA from a command prompt that was Run As Administrator?

Tried all that. It’s just splash.hta. There is no Run As option

Right click on the file and choose run as administrator?

Ok, so the upgrade to 2012 SP2 went fine in the lab. However, when I try to
run the small file to upgrade to R2 SP1, I keep getting an error saying I need
local Administrator permissions to run this. The account that I’m using is a
member of Domain Admins, which is in the local Administrators group, and I
manually added my adm account, which then makes it a local Administrator, and
yet, I still get the same message. The server has been rebooted a few times,
just to make sure there isn’t any cruft left, as well.

Any ideas?

We have SA, so I should absolutely be entitled to R2. I also have R2
downloaded (SW_DVD5_Sys_Ctr_2012_R2….iso

This is not a new installation, it’s the same upgrade I’ve asked about numerous
times, and not had bandwidth to get done.

I just went back to VLSC…. I must have mistyped before. I see it now. The
file to change SP2 into R2 SP1 is about 5MB in size, correct?

Are you sure you are entitled to R2? R2 is not free and only those with
software assurance or that purchased 2012 as R2 are entitled to it. Also,
assuming that this is a new site, why aren’t you doing ConfigMgr CB (currently
at version 1511)?

I have Volume Licensing, and the following is what I’ve downloaded:

SW_DVD5_Sys_Ctr_ConfigMgr_and_Endpnt_Prtctn_2012w_SP2.ISO

I know that this will get me to SP2, but I don’t see that other file to change
SP2 over to R2 SP1. Do I have to get that file from the Evaluation Center, or
is it hiding somewhere in VLSC that I’m not finding?
