Thanks, but his computers are peer-to-peer, not in a domain.

My domain-joined Windows 10 Enterprise and Professional machines see each other
without any problems.

Hank,

I know with 10 on a domain Microsoft broke something in the process that
allows the machine to see other machines on a network. AFAIK all he can do is
wait for Microsoft to release a fix. As far as homegroups, I would think its
essentially the same bits.

A friend who runs an internet business for some reason decided to migrate
everyone (3-4 computers) to Windows 10 (not sure yet if its Home or Pro). Since
then, he's had problems getting the computers to see and work with other
commuters in the group. I've suggested fixed IP addresses and adding NETBIOS
over IP. Haven't heard back yet.

Here's his message:
"we updated to the latest version of Windows 10 and networking functionality
bit the dust. The Homegroup generally won't show up. The networked machines
only display in explorer randomly (I can see them but they can't see me or
vice-versa). "

Any other thoughts on this? Much appreciated.
