GPO Preferences to set file associations will force common things to load using
IE (if you let IE check whether it is the default browser it should ask the
user to set it back).

Also Google has a Chrome ADMX you can deploy to deny Chrome from asking to be
the default browser.

Subject: [mssms] enforce IE11 as default browser

Hi,

I am having a major issue with Chrome hijacking the default browser and certain
file associations.

I configure IE11 as default browser and certain file associations with GPP, and
all is fine until a user opens Chrome.

Help, I need to enforce IE as default browser on Windows 7, 8.1.

Thanks,
Tim
