Subject: [mssms] RE: Moving SCCM to a new server hardware.

Did you move it or did you create a new site? If you moved it, using back and
recovery, then the DPs don't know any different and will simply communicate
with the new server. If you created a new site, you've put yourself into a
corner and probably done a bunch of "bad" things but bottom line is you cannot
"move" DPs between sites.

Subject: [mssms] Moving SCCM to a new server hardware.

Hello All,

Need some help here.
I have moved the primary SCCM server to a new hardware. Currently both the
servers are up and running. There are almost 50 DP'S connecting to the older
SCCM server. I just want to reconfigure the DP'S to connect to the new SCCM
server and want to do it one by one. Is there any way to reconfigure my DP'S so
that they connect to the new SCCM server hardware.
I have kept the server name same for both the SCCM servers.

Regards,
syed
