If you are seeing the HTA window pop up, then HTA support is enabled. Without
it, nothing would show up.

As for your TS variable, what you have below is invalid as it should be string
and thus should be oTaskSequence ("OSDtestvar") = "true"

Without seeing the whole thing, can’t say much more than that.

Where exactly are you running the HTA at though?

I should also add – that I tried to figure out if the boot wim was made with
mdt intergration and media hook files checked off. I mounted the wim – and
looked for some of the exe’s and such in the mounted wim like mshta.exe and it
was there. I’m not 100% sure if that really confirms it or not. I’m not sure
how to tell.

Hi, resending here. Sent question to wrong mailing list.

I’m trying to use an existing boot wim that I was told had the media hooks
enabled. MY HTA pops up, but it doesn’t seem to be passing my task sequence
the variables. I’m starting to wonder if it really has the HTA support
enabled. Does anyone know a way I can confirm it has HTA support? I mounted
the boot wim but am unsure what to look for and haven’t seen anything online.

Note: years ago I recall having this work without issue. No idea why it’s doing
this. I even hard coded a line in the vbs section of the hta to
oTaskSequence ("OSDtestvar") = true

I then ran the task sequence with a ts check and it returned false even for
OSDtestvar which is really mucking with my head.
