Finally got it! I ran the uninstall for the msi mentioned in the log and let it
reinstall. Seems to be working now.

Has anyone else seen this? I've been fighting it all day! I found two posts on
this, one suggested adding SQL replication which I did, the other mentioned
removing a windows feature that I do not have installed. I am on Server 2008R2
with SQL 2012.
INFO: \prereqs\SharedManagementObjects.msi installation process returned 1603.
