This is for version 4.0, but I had found a site that used a simple Powershell
script to check the versions on the system.

if ($psversiontable.pscompatibleversions -contains '4.0'){Return $True}

The problem with checking file versions is that they aren't actually
replaced/committed until after the reboot. So the detection logic is not
satisfied right after the install.

You could do a custom script detection method to look for the hotfix package,
but the easiest thing is to go to the Windows Update Catalog and import it into
your SUP.

Has anyone deployed WFM 5 through SCCM to workstations? I have the package all
ready to deploy but am having issues determining who needs the new version. I
can't find any documentation listing file version changes and could look for.
I could add the registry setting for powershell version but would rather look
for something around wmf itself.

Any suggestions?
