Hi Jeff,
thanks for the reply.
Doesn't the controller require any cooling?
We have an electric car, the MC1EV from Mitsuoka, basically an electric
golf cart. The controller tends to heat up, though we've never had it
short out on us before.

My controller is under the gas tank but is mounted just in front of
the dc to dc converter and 6th battery which is centered under my
tank. My motor is located under the back of the tank/front of the
seat. Airflow for the motor is an issue I am addressing with 4 mini
fans, very small. Water is not an issue as the tank and seat provide
enough coverage.
Batteries are sealed from outside elements, do not submerse them or
short them out but otherwise should be okay. If you use AGMs those are
truly sealed. Other batteries have caps that keep out water/contaminants.

Hi guys.
I assume the controller has to be water proofed since it's
electronics,
but what about the batteries and etek motor?
For the batteries, I thought it might be better to have them placed
inside some kind of a box to prevent spills, but I don't know whether
it's going to affect the cooling. Do the batteries heat up while
driving?
